Preserve
Fertility

row of eggs with names and birthdates written on them

Having cancer isn’t a choice.
Having kids still should be.

Our mission is to ensure every young woman newly diagnosed with cancer has the option to preserve fertility through direct financial support, educational programs, and advocacy efforts.

We refuse to let the emotional, physical, and financial cost of a cancer diagnosis stand between young women and a full life after beating this disease.

Our Story

After her *third* cancer diagnosis before age 40, our founder Amanda Rice channeled her frustration with reproductive health into a nonprofit.

OUR STORY

@CHICKMISSION

Earlier this week, survivor, Chick Mission Executive Board Member, mom, businesswoman — and overall inspiring chick — Lindsey VanEgmond shared her story from diagnosis to growing a family. It’s through the bravery and vulnerability of women like Lindsey that change is continuously seen in this space.

Thank you, Lindsey, for sharing and supporting Bill A5000. Learn more about the New Jersey Bill’s significance at the link in bio.

The journey of HB 94 💪 Thank you to everyone who helped us get HB 94 in Georgia this far! 🍑

Next up, we’d love for you to fill out the letter (linked in bio) that will go to Senate Rules Committee asking them to get HB 94 to floor. Your voice matters!! 📣

If passed, HB 94 would require certain health benefit policies to cover fertility preservation services when medically necessary treatments for cancer, sickle cell disease, or lupus may cause infertility.

The Chick Mission is all about supporting badass thesis writing women who love stats and are into researching how (if) patients are notified about their fertility preservation options.

If you want to support our friend Alejandra in preparing her thesis by completing this anonymous survey, we love you for that. If you do not, we love you for that too.  While our organization believes knowledge is power at The Chick Mission, we are not affiliated with Alejandra, UPITT and did not contribute to the content of survey questions. Our team will not see any responses or have any hand or influence in how the info is used, stored or shared.

Survey open until 3/24 and can be found at the link in bio!

Alanna Vizzoni, we are endlessly impressed by your courage and class, as you’ve taken your journey in stride 🩷 thank you for sharing your story with stage-two breast cancer and fertility preservation in front of Committee members in New Jersey last month, in support of Bill A5000.

Bill A5000 is an important one. If passed, it would ensure patients on Medicaid faced with iatrogenic infertility have increased access to care.

🔗📨Jersey crew, rise up! It takes just one min of your time to show your support, which is more crucial now than ever!!!

Next stop…the Senate! 🙌🗳️ We could not be more proud of the outpouring of support from the Georgia community; your letters and calls have been critical in underscoring the importance of House Bill 94, which would require coverage for certain expenses for standard fertility preservation services when a medically necessary treatment for cancer, sickle cell disease, or lupus may directly or indirectly cause an impairment of fertility.

Stay tuned for more ways to show your support!! 🐥💪
